Best Time of Year

Summer is over and for me, that is the beginning of the real new year. The school year begins, mornings feel just a little bit cooler and we all get back to the business of family and work. This is the time of year when I am always reminded of how much I love where I live! A few years ago with our son's grown and on their own, my husband and I sold our beautiful half acre Arcadia home and bought/remodeled a wonderful Bennie Gonzales patio home in Scottsdale's Las Villas. Our new perfect smaller version of home, is within walking distance to all the same favorite locals. We jump on the canal bank and walk, run or ride minutes in to Old Town for breakfast. I step out my back gate to walk and watch my beloved Praying Monk disappear as the sun sets on Camelback Mountain. I still grab my daily AJ's ice tea but from Lincoln not Camelback. It's fall in Arizona. The temperature isn't perfect yet, but it's getting there, so call a friend for a bike ride through the greenbelt, or enjoy the view and a glass of wine on the patio at Sanctuary.
